Meet Megan Brothers; CATCH Certified Professional Dog Trainer

I’ve always been interested in training animals and, while in college for Animal Sciences, I learned a lot about animal behavior and psychology. This made me fall in love with understanding how animals work.
During my internship in the dog program at Green Chimneys, I worked with shelter dogs and self-taught myself how to train basic obedience. I enjoyed when I would see it click in their brain as to what I was asking! Since that internship, I’ve worked at Dogtopia, a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I worked with a variety of breeds learning different temperaments and personalities. I then went to work as a vet assistant and dog trainer at Schulhof Animal Hospital where I continued to work with a variety of breeds and I created a puppy playgroup to help dogs have a positive association with coming to the vet.
I completed the Master Class Course at CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and graduated with distinction. Through the course, I was able to mentor under Dawn Lowery from One Smart Dog in Shelton, CT where I observed her group classes in basic manners and puppy pre-k.
I traveled to Chicago, Illinois to shadow world-famous balanced dog trainer, Jonas Black. I learned an incredible amount about how he trains dogs and succeeds in behavior modification. In order to continue my education, I completed Jonas Black’s 6 month long Disperser Mentorship Program and continued to join the next two years to learn even more!
I am extremely passionate about helping owners and dogs succeed together. Training is all about relationship and finding what works for you and your dog. This is why I want to help you and your dog on the road to success!
